So will politics be the downfall of us all?

I understand that in everything that we do, to be able to live our lives silently, privately, we have to bow down to so many social norms.

We have to listen to people twice and understand carefully what they said and the context that they say it. The same statement, with different inflections, could mean insanely different things.

A statement can be a joke, or an accusation, or perhaps a suggestion. It all depends on the context.

And the call of politics, you have to appear to, or perhaps actually, be good to most of your base. You have to listen to their voice, and apply context to it. Not doing so could lead to your downfall, or perhaps just defeat.

But in any case, let's not jump into conclusions.

And I hope politics will not tear us apart.
